DIURETIC:  There are many reasons why our body retains water. Whether it is due to impurities and toxic build up or pharmaceutical drugs, using diuretic has a cleansing effect on the body. A diuretic causes an increase in urinary output, and rids the body of any surplus fluid. We have developed an herbal and nutritional support system that reduces systemic fluid retention.

The selected herbs used in this product were chosen to act specifically to reduce edema. Potassium Gluconate is a mineral that is found naturally in foods, and is necessary for many normal functions of your body, including the beating of your heart. Potassium reduces blood pressure, maintains fluid balance and increases insulin sensitivity. It is the balance between potassium and sodium that determines fluid balance and blood pressure regulation. Parsley Leaf if chiefly used for its diuretic properties, as well as being helpful with kidney gravel, stones and congestion, edema and jaundice. Buchu Leaf has long been used in traditional medicine as a urinary tract disinfectant and diuretic. It has been used by herbalists to treat urinary infections and inflammation, as well as inflammation of the prostrate. Cornsilk, also known as Zea Mays and Maize Silk has been used in herbal remedies as a diuretic, for bladder and kidney problems, edema, obesity, prostate disorders, reducing stone formation in kidneys and PMS. Dog Grass Root is also known by the names Witch Grass, Couch Grass and Twitch Grass. Dog Grass Root has been used in the treatment of urinary infections, to soothe irritation and inflammation, and the treatment of prostate gland. It has been used as a diuretic, to treat jaundice and liver ailments. Hydrangea Root is also known as Seven Bark. Cherokee Indians used the root as a tea for diuretic, cathartic and emetic. It is well recognized in the treatment of inflamed or enlarged prostate glands. It has been used in folk medicine to contribute to the elimination of deposits in the bladder and kidneys. Uva Ursi Leaf contains a powerful anti-bacterial agent called methylarbutin, thought to be responsible for its ability to treat urinary tract infections. Native Americans used the berries for infections of all parts of the body because of its astringent or drying action. Chlorophyll has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and wound healing properties. Traditionally it has been used to improve bad breath as well as to reduce the odors of urine and infected wounds. Our Natural Herbal Diuretic and Potassium may help maintain health by preventing excess loss of minerals and supporting the detoxification and cleansing process.

As with any cleansing program, be sure to drink additional glasses of water each day.
